7.17 Overlapping Playlists
It is possible to start a playlist before the previous playlist ends. In this situation the content of the first playlist will not be played out completely, but will be stopped as soon as the second playlist starts. This is reflected in the workbench, where the last clip of the first playlist (which will be played in parts) is shown in yellow letters and those clips which will not be played out are shown in red letters. It is possible to avoid overlapping playlists by using the chained playlist type instead of timed playlists.
Only movies which will not be played out at all and placeholder items are shown in red letters in the workbench. The operator responsible for the channel should take care that such situations are avoided.
