12.8 Channel - Events Tab (v.5.x)
You must unlock the Just Control Configuration window and stop the channel(s) first to perform any changes.
The “Events” tab allows you to configure 3rd party hardware (or software only) Devices and to generate Presets, which can be used in the just:live and just:play user interface or as part of a Rule.
Devices: Define Devices based on the hardware and software you would like to control.
Presets: Define Presets (e.g. cross points, VANC triggers) using existing Devices.
Rules: Define Rules based on a certain condition or time, using existing Presets. One rule is the Automated Failover Control option, which controls your router/switcher based on the availability of the Primary or Redundant engine.
Currently active event devices: Lists all currently active Event Devices.
Add Button: Opens the Event Device window, where you can choose the Device you would like to add to the Channel.
Save/Load (All) Preset: Each Device has its ID, which is used to identify the Device in the Playlist XML. To transfer the Device ID to another system or to save it as a backup, the device can be saved and loaded here.
