12.4 Channel - Format Tab (v.5.x)

You must unlock the Just Control Configuration window and stop the channel(s) first to perform any changes.

  • Scheduling:Ā Defines the user interface (just:live or just:play) that will be used for this Channel.

  • Output Format:Ā This is the format (pixel size, frame rate, and bit depth) that is used by the selected Channel.

  • Live Input & Fill+Key: This allows you to define whether the engine should be able to switch to a live source or if the output should include a key signal. Only the modes, that are pertinent to the output Device selected for the Just Out engine under ā€œLayers & Enginesā€, are shown.

  • SD widescreen (16:9):Ā Activate this checkbox to run an SD (standard definition) Channel, to play out in SD Wide Screen mode.

  • Low latency playout:Ā Enable this option for the lowest latency when pressing theĀ PlayĀ (jump to next) button. Deactivate this option when using MXF files or Videos which are taking some time to decompress like XDCAM or H.264.

  • Interlaced Aware Scaling:Ā When activated, any Video that has to be scaled (SDĀ ā†” (U)HD aspect ratio conversion) will have additional interlaced-aware filtering applied to it to preserve the interlace fields and to improve the quality of the scaled Video.

  • Audio in multi-viewer:Ā Defines the number of audio channels that are shown in the On Air window.

  • Port:Ā Defines the Port which is used by the selected Channel. Keep in mind that a Port can only be used once per machine.

  • Aspect Ratio Options:Ā Define how differences in the aspect ratio should be handled by default. This preset can be overwritten for each Video in the Inspector of just:live/just:play. Refer to ChapterĀ .
