12.4 Channel - Format Tab (v.5.x)
You must unlock the Just Control Configuration window and stop the channel(s) first to perform any changes.
Scheduling: Defines the user interface (just:live or just:play) that will be used for this Channel.
Output Format: This is the format (pixel size, frame rate, and bit depth) that is used by the selected Channel.
Live Input & Fill+Key: This allows you to define whether the engine should be able to switch to a live source or if the output should include a key signal. Only the modes, that are pertinent to the output Device selected for the Just Out engine under “Layers & Engines”, are shown.
No in, video out
The ability to switch to a live source is disabled.
All available outputs show the video signal.
No in, video+key out
The ability to switch to a live source is disabled.
The available SDI/NDI®/SRT/UDP/ST-2110 outputs show the video signal and at least one shows the key signal.
DSK in, video out (default black)
Enables the ability to switch to a live signal using the DSK of a supported AJA device (refer to Chapter 5. Live Input Signal Handling (v.5.x) ).
All available outputs show the video signal.
In case nothing is playing in the video track, the output shows black.
DSK in, video out (default pass-thru)
Enables the ability to switch to a live signal using the DSK of a supported AJA device (refer to Chapter 5. Live Input Signal Handling (v.5.x) ).
All available outputs show the video signal.
In case nothing is playing in the video track, the output shows the incoming live signal.
DSK in, video+key out (default black)
Enables the ability to switch to a live signal using the DSK of a supported AJA device (refer to Chapter 5. Live Input Signal Handling (v.5.x) ).
The available SDI outputs show the video signal and at least one shows the key signal.
In case nothing is playing in the video track, the output shows black.
DSK in, video+key out (default pass-thru)
Enables the ability to switch to a live signal using the DSK of a supported AJA device (refer to Chapter 5. Live Input Signal Handling (v.5.x) ).
The available SDI outputs show the video signal and at least one shows the key signal.
In case nothing is playing in the video track, the output shows the incoming live signal.
Buffered in, video out (default black)
Enables the ability to switch to a live signal using the built-in capture engine (refer to Chapter 5. Live Input Signal Handling (v.5.x) and Chapter 5.3 Buffered Switch to Live Configuration (AJA, Blackmagic Design, NDI®,SRT,UDP,ST-2110) (v.5.x) ).
In case nothing is playing in the video track, the output shows black.
Buffered in, video out (default pass-thru)
Enables the ability to switch to a live signal using the built-in capture engine (refer to Chapter 5. Live Input Signal Handling (v.5.x) and Chapter 5.3 Buffered Switch to Live Configuration (AJA, Blackmagic Design, NDI®,SRT,UDP,ST-2110) (v.5.x) ).
In case nothing is playing in the video track, the output shows the incoming live signal.
SD widescreen (16:9): Activate this checkbox to run an SD (standard definition) Channel, to play out in SD Wide Screen mode.
Low latency playout: Enable this option for the lowest latency when pressing the Play (jump to next) button. Deactivate this option when using MXF files or Videos which are taking some time to decompress like XDCAM or H.264.
Interlaced Aware Scaling: When activated, any Video that has to be scaled (SD ↔ (U)HD aspect ratio conversion) will have additional interlaced-aware filtering applied to it to preserve the interlace fields and to improve the quality of the scaled Video.
Audio in multi-viewer: Defines the number of audio channels that are shown in the On Air window.
Port: Defines the Port which is used by the selected Channel. Keep in mind that a Port can only be used once per machine.
Aspect Ratio Options: Define how differences in the aspect ratio should be handled by default. This preset can be overwritten for each Video in the Inspector of just:live/just:play. Refer to Chapter Aspect Ratio Control.
