13.11 Adding A New Layer To An Existing Channel (v2.0)

It is possible to add a new Video, FXEvent or Audio layer to an already existing channel. This is primarily useful during testing to find out how many layers are needed to do the final play out. Once a channel is activated using the activation code, the number of layers will be adjusted automatically.

  1. To add a layer, select the channel (in the Channel View) to which you would like to add a layer.

  2. Click on the Layers & Engines tab in the configuration area.

  3. Click on the New Layer button and choose the kind of layer you would like to add. Make sure to assign an engine to the new layer and restart the just:out engine as well as the connected user interfaces, to see the new layer there.
