6.8 Splitting A Video Clip (v2.0)

Sometimes it can be useful to split a video clip. For example, to add commercial breaks to a feature film.

Define the split point

To split a movie, select it in the Workbench to show it in the "Preview" window. Move the CTI to the position you want to split the clip using the mouse, keyboard and/or an optional external control device.

Split the movie

Now click on the "Split Clip" button at the bottom of the inspector to split the movie at the selected position.
