6.2 Crash Recording

Select Preset

Select the preferred preset from the Setting pop-up menu in the Capture section.

Specify Clip Name

Specify a clip name or select a naming convention from the Name convention pop-up menu.

Clip Name Already Exists

If you use the same clip name twice or if the file name already exists in the capture folder a number will be appended to the file name and the resulting clip name will be displayed in yellow. 

Capture

Press the Record button to start or stop recording. While recording the preview pane is bordered by a red frame. 


Keyboard Shortcuts for recording and channel selection

 Select/Deselect channels by pressing “Alt-<ChannelNumber>” and Start/Stop recording by pressing “Command-R”. 


LTC over Audio Info

If an LTC signal is fed into the video card or the sound input of the computer, an LED will show the status accordingly. 



Split Clip Function

While recording you can hold down the Option (Alt) key and the record button will turn into Split Mode (noticeable by a vertical line that crosses the record icon). Clicking on it or pressing the F3 key will generate a new file along with its companion sidecar XML. 

End-of-Recording based on TC entry

While recording you can enter a timecode that is in the future to automatically stop a recording on that given timecode. You need to confirm the entry by hitting the Record button again. To stop recording at any time, deselect the checkbox and click on the Record button.
