6. Recording

just:in multi offers various recording/ingest modes:

• Crash Mode: record video signals on the fly. 
• Loop Recording Mode: the recording process will loop until the end of the given chunk length (up to 12-hours) and automatically continue to record/overwrite into the same file from the beginning. (QT only)
• Batch Mode: record a predefined batch list of clips from a connected VTR deck over the RS-422 serial protocol. 
• Schedule Mode: record clips based on events in the local Apple Calendar calendar of the engine machine.

just:in provides integrated machine control over the RS-422 serial protocol. Note that the maximum recording length is 12 hours per clip in any case.
