6.1 Recording States

The record button and the timecode display have different states. Each state is listed in the following. 

Connected (with no preset selected)

Indicates that there is a connection to a capture device but no recording is in progress. The record button is not active until all settings are valid.

Recording + Writing

Indicates that a record is in progress and files are being written to disk.
