[JIM] Online License Activation v.2025.1 - Summary

[JIM] Online License Activation v.2025.1 - Summary

just:in mac 2025 introduces the online license activation process to ease the deployment and license transfer.

just:in mac 2025 is always fully featured but is not activated by default, and therefore a ToolOnAir generated watermark will be added to all Recordings. As soon as you purchase a just:in mac 2025 licence, you will receive an activation code to remove the watermark.

Please note that an activation is not required to test the just:in mac 2025 solution (Just In Engine and Just Control).

Activating Your License

To activate your purchased just:in mac 2025 license with the Activation Code that you have received, please follow the below steps:

First, verify that the [JIM] just:in mac Getting Started v.2025.1 instructions have been followed, and that you the setup is working accordingly. Then open the “Just Control Configuration” panel by either clicking on the “Channels” menu and selecting “Show Configuration Panel” or clicking on the Gear (cogwheel) icon on the right-hand side of the Just Control user interface.

Then select the just:in mac 2025 device (in this example “APPLE SILICON”) on the left-hand side and switch to the “Activation” tab.

Please enter the License Activation Code that you have received from either your preferred ToolsOnAir reseller or ToolsOnAir into the “Activation code” field and then click on the “Activate” button to activate your license.

Upon successful activation, the status in the “Current activation status and activated option” list changes from “Yellow ()” to “Green ()”.

For the online activation process to work, you will need online access. Please ensure that this is available before starting the online activation process.

Switch Activation between Channels

If you are working with frequently changing setups, like for instance using four licensed SDI channels (e.g. with an AJA KONA or Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro video card), and you need to change that configuration to use three of these SDI channels with one (1) additional NDI®, SRT, UDP or ST-2110 channel, then please confirm that you only enable the number of licensed channels in use (in our case 4 channels) and not all of them, as you might exceed the number of totally licensed channels on that particular machine.

Please verify that you restart the Just In Engine application, after changing the enabled channels.

License Transfer

Should you need to transfer your license to another machine, then click on the “Deactivate” button. This will release the license for the hardware and allow the license transfer to another machine.

→ Use the sidebar to navigate.
