[JIML] Activation v.2025.1

[JIML] Activation v.2025.1

just:in mac lite 2025 used an online license activation process to ease the deployment and license transfer.

just:in mac lite 2025 always comes fully featured (Demo Mode) but is not activated by default, and therefore a ToolsOnAir watermark will be added to all Recordings. As soon as you purchase a just:in mac lite 2025 licence, you will receive an activation code to remove the watermark.

Please note that an online license activation is not required to test just:in mac lite 2025.

Activating Your License

To activate your purchased just:in mac lite 2025 license with the Activation Code that you have received, please follow the below steps:

First, verify that the just:in mac 2025 lite Getting Started instructions have been followed, and that you the setup is working accordingly. Then open the “Just In Mac Lite Configuration” panel by clicking on the Gear (cogwheel) icon on the right-hand side of the Just In Mac Lite user interface, select the “Device”, and switch to the “Activation” tab.

To apply any changes, make sure to unlock the Just In Mac Lite Configuration panel first.

There will be a popup window as well, indicating that the Activation was successful.

The Just In Mac Lite application uses an online license system for activating, deactivating, and checking your license status. So, for any online activation process to work, you will need online access. Please ensure that this is available before starting the one-time online activation process.

Additionally, verify that your macOS Date & Time settings are compatible with the Gregorian Calendar format (Gregorian date formats include the following: ddmonyy, ddmonyyyy, mm/dd/yy, or mm/dd/yyyy). Using the Gregorian calendar ensures consistency and accuracy in the Date header, avoiding misinterpretation, synchronisation and activation errors.

Switch Activation between Channels

If you are working with frequently changing setups, like for instance using eight licensed SDI channels (e.g., with an AJA Corvid 88 or a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2), and you have to change that configuration to use four of these SDI channels with one (1) additional NDI® channel, then please confirm that you only enable the number of licensed channels in use (in that case 4 SDI channels only) and not all of them, as you might exceed the number of totally licensed channels on that particular machine.

Please verify that you restart the just:in mac lite 2025 application, after changing the enabled channels.

Feel free contact us if you have further questions regarding the TOA Online Licence Activation process.

License Transfer

If you want to transfer a license from one to another machine, please ensure that you follow the steps below:

  1. Open the “Just In Mac Lite Configuration” panel

  2. Select the Device on the left side and switch to the “Activation” tab

  3. Make sure that you have an active internet connection

  4. Use the “Deactivate” button to deactivate/release this license

  5. Make sure that the status of the Activation turns back to (Yellow) “Demo”

  6. Then open the “Just In Mac Lite Configuration” panel on the new machine and activate your license there (again, please verify that there is an active internet connection)

Should your production hardware become defective ahead of a license deactivation of just:in mac lite 2025, then please contact the ToolsOnAir team at sales@toolsonair.com to help you with the license transfer.
