Note for AJA Users

  • just:in multi 1.8 has been designed to take care of all sort of signal handling between the KONA cards and the Just In Engine QuickTime engine. Please note that failing to provide a continuously stable signal, during a capture process can interrupt your ingest process or harm the file saved to disk by making them out-of-sync or even unusable at all. In order to stabilize the signal in advance, i.e. before it’s sent to the video card input, we recommend the use Audio/Video Frame Synchronizers.
  • With the Io XT Thunderbolt device you will be able to record up to 2 incoming SDI streams. With the KONA 3G, KONA 4, Corvid 24 PCI cards and the Io 4K Thunderbolt device you will be able to record up to 4 incoming SDI streams. With the Corvid 88 you will be able to record up to 8 incoming SDI streams thanks to just:in multi’s direct SDK link.
  • With the Io 4K please use the UFC firmware mode, if you want the engine to loop the incoming source to any output for monitoring purposes.
  • Version 1.8 of just:in multi will support AJA drivers 10.6.1 and higher only!

Note for Blackmagic Users

  •  We do NOT recommend the use of DeckLink Duo cards to achieve a 2–4 channel ingest station due to extended thermic problems and reported frame loss issues. Please use the DeckLink Quad card instead which is the approved setup for multi-channel input! This refers to both the Mac Pro 5,1 and any external Thunderbolt extension chassis.
  • It is recommended to use the Blackmagic Desktop Video drivers version 10.3.2 and higher for full compatibility with OS X 10.9.5 / 10.10 and fixes with regard to channel reallocation upon restart.
