6.11 Web Assistant

LiveCut features an integrated web server. We only recommend using this feature, if the Mac has enough resources left (namely CPU time). You can check the current load of your machine by running the Activity Monitor application which is part of OS X. Keep in mind that this feature is a lightweight option and that we recommend using the LiveCut user interface instead.

Once the "Web Assistant" option has been checked, you can click on the "Open in Browser" button to launch your browser. The web browser will then check your Bonjour connections and display the LiveCut browser interface.

Predefined markers, sequence colors (if supported by the selected NLE) and "Good Shot" tags can be set during the recording. You can use this on a mobile client like the iPad as well as with any other web browser supporting the Bonjour service (this includes Microsoft Windows based clients).
