  • The channel connect panel now shows "Connecting..." and "Disconnecting..." status, during which the relevant button is disabled. This prevents issues connecting a channel that was currently disconnecting.
  • Removed the "Override native frame-rate" option from the engine's preferences, now there is only a frame-rate option with a default of 10fps.
  • When adding a new channel in channel connect panel, the port number is automatically "bumped". This means that you can click "Add" several times to add multiple channels with subsequent port numbers.
  • Fixed bug where changing the "border thickness" setting in preferences was not changing the preview border.

  • Fixed a bug where the information labels at the top of the preview were sometimes not displayed, or displayed too small, after switching the interface to full-screen.
  • Alt-clicking the audio monitor buttons now properly enables/disabled audio monitoring on all channels.
  • Fixed an issue where selecting another capture preset lead to the audio monitor buttons all showing "off" even if audio monitoring was enabled for some channels.
  • Selecting a capture preset that has fewer audio channels than the previous one now automatically mutes any audio monitoring for audio channels no longer included with the preset.
  • Fixed a bug that crashed the interface after deselecting/clearing the capture preset.
  • Recording with Photo-JPEG codec would result in visually corrupt files. That has been fixed.
  • When recording ProRes in Quarter HD files would be green instead of the actual footage. That has been fixed.
  • Premiere Pro wouldn't recognise anamorphic DV - That has been fixed.
  • Naming convention preview example string is being updated to reflect the correct expected counter value.
  • The overlays that appear/disappear when moving the mouse inside of a channel can be fully customised now. To do that, please open the preferences and select the "Mouse behaviour" tab. There you can select a combination of hide and show, whether you want it to be permanently off or on, or visible while the mouse is outside or inside the channel.
  • Reset counter for naming conventions now works correctly for just:in Linux channels.
  • Counters are correctly incremented between records for just:in Linux channels.

Just In 3.0.0.A1.700 Release Notes

  • This is a 3.0.0 Alpha pre-release.
  • This version requires a new 3.0 license code, invalidating any older 2.0 or 2.5 license codes. If you already have a valid license code for an older version, please contact ToolsOnAir for a new code before installing this build.
  • There is a new "System" tab in the just:in Linux channel configuration panel. Here you can view and save logs from just:connect and just:in Linux and restart the services remotely.
  • Removed the live:cut application from the DMG as the functionality has now been rolled into just:in multi. If you wish to use live:cut you can now create a new live:cut project within just:in.
  • Resolved a crash starting just:in on systems older than 10.12. This version of just:in multi requires at least 10.12 or later.
  • Added support for Premiere Pro CC 2017 to live:cut.
  • Fixed a bug where text fields in the inspector were not properly deactivated/resigned once active. For example, clicking on a field in the "Clip" inspector group and then collapsing (hiding) the group was resulting in the edit field being left visible. Now selecting any other control in the inspector, or collapsing/expanding any group will properly deactivate and remove any active text field.
  • During batch digitizing all controls are now disabled until finished. Then, only the "Clear table" button is active. Once the table has been cleared, new batch entries may be added to the list again.
  • Resolved an issue where clicking on the "Log" button in the batch digitizing inspector group will first "commit" any values entered in the in-point, out-point or duration field before adding a new entry to the batch list. Previously, any "active" values in those fields were ignored when adding a new entry.
  • Fixed a bug where the timecode fields in the batch digitizing inspector group incorrectly showed active highlights. Now, only the currently active timecode field will display active highlights.
  • Made the channel connection panel slightly wider to allow for longer names and/or IP addresses.
  • The "Disconnect" menu item is now only enabled when all of the selected channels are connected. If no channels are selected, or any of the selected channels are not connected, then the "Disconnect" menu item is disabled.
  • Renamed "Connect..." to "Connections..." in the "Channel" menu.
  • Fixed a crash entering values in a timecode field while moving the mouse.
  • The channel "timecode" mode button is now "modal" when open. This means that it will not collapse when overlapped with the "Buffer Status" field or when the channel preview is small enough that the option buttons reach outside of the preview.
  • Audio monitor is available in the inspector. Click on the channel number to listen to a selection of channels, alt-click will enable all channels, regardless of the clicked channel.
  • Video preview delay has been reduced.
  • The "stop on timecode" feature has been changed slightly. Now, once a channel is recording you can simply enter the timecode in the inspector and set "Stop on timecode" to "On". At this point the mode is active, and the record button changes to show "TC" in the middle to indicate that the mode is active. You can disable the mode again by setting the option in inspector to "Off". Additionally, when closing and opening the inspector for a channel in "stop on timecode" mode, the correct status is shown in the inspector.
  • It is no longer possible to resize the connect channel window.
  • The "View" menu has been removed as the menu items no longer matched the actual options available. It will be added again at a later date.
  • If you select a connected channel and then open the connect channel window and connect to a different channel, the previously connected channel's status in the connect window will change from "Disconnect" to "Connect". Previously, the disconnect channel still had the incorrect "Disconnect" status, even though it was already disconnected.
  • Fixed a bug where showing the inspector for multiple channels resulted in the channel previews having an incorrect aspect ratio. Now the aspect ratio is preserved correctly when "shrinking" the previews to allow for the inspector.
  • Removed some unused preferences from the preferences window.
  • When a naming convention with a counter field is selected, there is now an additional "Reset" button in the inspector that can be used to reset the current counter.
  • Resolved an issue where the audio bars sometimes overlaped a channel's toolbar.
  • Using the keyboard shortcut cmd-k to show the channel connection window while the window is already opened no longer results in the window being opened multiple times.
  • Fixed a bug where changing the active ethernet device could result in the preview, timecode and audio bars no longer functioning.
