just:in is a Network Based Ingest Solution that offers Crash, Gang, Batch and Scheduled Recording. It unites Single- and Multi-Channel Ingest over SDI, HDMI or NDI® sources into MOV, MXF and MP4 containers into one flexible and expandable application.

just:in Engine Mac

  • Responsible for controlling the Video Hardware and writing the Video and Metadata files.

  • Required for running the just:control application.

  • Once configured it runs "in the background".

  • Can be run on the same machine as just:control or on a separate, network connected machine.

  • Supports one or multiple Channels (= Signals/Sources) in SD, HD and UHD. The number of Channels which can be recorded at the same time and on the same machine depends on the frame rate, the recording format, the container, the codec, the hardware and the storage system.

just:control

  • Is used to connect and control multiple Channels available from one or multiple instances of a just:in Engine on the network.

  • Shows Realtime Video and Audio Previews from the Channels and let's you select Capture- and Destination-Presets.

  • Allows you to start and stop Recordings.
