What's New in just:in mac (5.1)
Native Apple M1 Support
just:in mac 5.1 is fully qualified to run on the new Apple Silicon architecture. The combination of this highly efficient and powerful new system architecture from Apple and our professional ingest solution offers many advantages and benefits for both our customers and our future innovations. Therefore, our offerings on macOS for your recording and playout workflows continue to be future-proof.
LTC over Audio In Support
Back in version 5.1 of just:in mac is a well-known feature from older just:in mac versions: LTC over Audio In. This handy feature allows you to use a Line In USB adapter to sync all of your recording channels with an external LTC timecode source. Simply select the specific audio hardware in the Device Settings and make sure that you have “LTC Over Audio In” selected as the Channel’s Timecode Source and you are ready to go.
HDR Support
The new just:in mac version provides HDR metadata support (HLG and PQ transfer characteristics) for ProRes422 HQ/MOV recording workflows for both AJA and Blackmagic Design video inputs.
Improved Schedule Mode
Among many other great improvements, we focused on making the Schedule Mode more efficient. The Calendar selection moved from the Channel Settings into the Channel Inspector. This allows for more flexibility when it comes to scheduled recordings.
Customisable Locking of application control items
With just:in mac version 5.1 we improved an already well known just:control feature, where it was possible to lock the Channel Inspector to avoid Capture- and Destination-Preset changes. just:in mac v.5.1 enables the possibility to lock the complete user interface and prevent any unintended user interaction. Furthermore, this new feature can be used easily with keyboard shortcuts.
macOS Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey Support
just:in mac and just:in linux have been improved to accommodate the latest macOS features and are now fully macOS Monterey certified. Version 5.1 will also still support macOS Catalina (10.15.x) and macOS Big Sur (11.x) to ensure full deployment flexibility and safeguard our customer’s investment in our solutions.
