13.13 Stopping or Deleting an Engine (v3.0)
Stopping an Engine
In order to be able to do changes to an Engine or a Channel, it needs to be stopped first. This can be done by stopping the Channel, even in case the engine is running on another machine.
Stop the desired Channel by deactivating the checkbox in front of it.
Press the Stop button to stop the Channel and to quit the engines assigned to the Channel. Stopping a Channel will also stop the Just Out engine and therefore the final output.
The Channel and the engine are now stopped and you can make your configuration changes.
When you’re done, activate the checkbox in front of the Channel to start it again and to take over the changes you made.
Close the configuration window and drag the Channel from the Connections tab to the Multi-viewer area.
Deleting an Engine
Deleting an engine is useful in situations where an existing engine will be replaced by a new engine running on another machine.
Stop the desired Channel by deactivating the checkbox in front of it. Stopping a Channel will also stop the Just Out engine and therefore the final output.
Select the Channel in the Devices & Channels list.
Click on the Layers & Engines tab.
Select an existing engine and choose Delete engine in the Primary just:out Engine column.
