just:in Linux version 1.5 introduces just:connect to the just:in world. Customers who already use a ToolsOnAir playout software (just:play or just:live) may already know just:connect, but for just:in or live:cut customers this application is new.

just:connect works as a middleware between the Recording Engine and the User Interface and handles all Engine related settings. It offers functionality like:

  • Central Engine and Channel configuration, which enables:
    • Capture and Destination Presets
    • Metadata Settings
    • Naming Presets
    • Pre- and Post-Record-Scripts
    • Activation
  • Multiple User Interfaces can connect to one Channel
