Known Issues (just:play v.5.x)

Audio Monitor of a Channel using Virtual as Output Device

When using a channel with the Just Out engine assigned to a Virtual Device, the audio is sent to the speaker of the Mac twice. This results in an echo and playing audio from other tracks after issuing the “Jump To Next” command. We recommend disabling the Audio Monitor when using the Virtual Device and where Just Control runs on the same Mac.

Using a channel with more than one Video Layer

When using a channel with more than one Video Layer, make sure that any live event is only scheduled in the first (lowest) Video Layer. Scheduling live events in another Video Layer can result in unexpected behaviour.

Broken Videos

It is important to make sure that all Video files which should be played out are supported and can be played out. An unlicensed version of Just Out running on another Mac can be used to test new Video files. Make sure that the machines are absolutely the same, hardware and software wise. Make sure all Videos files are available, in case reference Videos files should be used. Trying to play out broken or unsupported Videos files can harm the final output and even crash the Just Out engine.

Using Videos with Realtime Aspect Ratio change cannot be used as part of a realtime graphics template with the Just Out Engine Output function

While it is possible to apply a realtime aspect ratio change to a Video that is used as a part of a graphics file, the change in the aspect ratio will be ignored during the time the graphics Template is on air. Therefore, we recommend avoiding situations where video files with the wrong aspect ratio are used as part of a realtime graphics template using the Just Out engine output function.
