You may use Internal System Variables in your Metadata Export Templates. These Variables may be used throughout the metadata file to ease up Metadata processing.

Capture Section Keys

Description 

%Just_In_Container

Will be replaced by one of the following values:

  • MXF Op1a

  • QuickTime

  • AVFoundation MP4

%Just_In_Timecode_Source

Will be replaced by one of the following values:

  • Computer Time

  • LTC over Audio

  • Capture card LTC

  • SDI Embedded

%Just_In_Framerate

Will be replaced by the Frame rate (23.97, 24, 25…).

%Just_In_Aspect_Ratio

Will be replaced by the Aspect Ratio.

%Just_In_Capture_Codec

Will be replaced by the full name of the Codec.

%Just_In_Audio_Channels

Will be replaced with the actual number of Audio Channels.

%Just_In_Capture_Resolution

Will be replaced by the resolution of the target format.

%Just_In_Capture_Width

Will be replaced by the capture width.

%Just_In_Capture_Height

 Will be replaced by the capture height.

General Keys

Description

%Just_In_Capture_Duration

Will be replaced by the length of the Recording in standard time. Example: 00:30:00 = 30 minutes.

%Just_In_Capture_Inpoint

Will be replaced by the Inpoint timecode. This is the timecode of the first frame. Example: 10:00:00:00.

%Just_In_Capture_Outpoint

Will be replaced by the Outpoint timecode. This is the timecode of the last frame. Example: 11:00:00:00.

%Just_In_No_Extension_Clipname

Will be replaced by the Clip name with extension. Example: “Test01”.

%Just_In_Clipname

Will be replaced by the Clip name with extension. Example: “sample.mov”.

%Just_In_Full_Clipname

Will be replaced by the full Clip name. Example: “/path/to/the/movie.mov”.

%date

Will be replaced by the default macOS Date format or by the Date format set with a terminal command, please see here for more details: [JIL] Metadata Types v.6.0

%time

Naming Presets

Every Variable of the Naming Presets is available for Metadata processing; just use the Variable of Naming Convention as the key. There's one special case, though: “%Name” (or any custom Variable) will be replaced by the contents of the “Name” field (or any custom fields) of the Clip section. In Schedule Mode this field will be as specified in the Apple Calendar Event.
