In addition to the Just In Multi user interface, there’s the option to use our Just In Adobe Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro (Mac and Windows) to directly record and import files into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 (6.0.5), CC and CC 2014. It currently provides the following features:

  • single/multi-channelingest(MOVandMXFcontainers)overSDIorHDMI(dependingonthePCI video card or Thunderbolt device used) in combination with our Just In QuickTime Engine v1.8.
  • automatic import into an Adobe Premiere Pro CS6/CC/CC 2014 project panel with growing file support for Mac (QuickTime MOV and MXF containers) and Windows (MXF container).
  • Crash and Gang recording modes.

Please follow these steps to install and use it:

  1. Define a port for every channel you would like to connect to from the Just In Adobe Panel in the Just In Conguration preference panel (see page 8). Connection from the Just In Adobe Panel to the Just In Engine QuickTime can only be done via a direct IP setup.
  2. Open the Additional Content folder in the Just In installer window. Double-click the Justin Adobe Panel.zxp package to install the Just In Adobe Panel via the Adobe Extension Manager CS6/CC/ CC 2014 (separate Adobe install routine).
  3. Launch Adobe Premiere Pro CS6/CC/CC2014, choose a project or create a new one and navigate to Preferences -> Media. Uncheck Write XMP ID to Files on Import and verify that Automatically Refresh Growing Files is checked. Enter a lower value for the refesh rate if needed (min. 10s).
  4. Make sure that the Just In Engine QuickTime engine is running. Navigate to the Window menu and select Extensions -> Just In Adobe Panel. The Just In Adobe Panel gets initialized and started. Click on the Settings tab, add a channel entry by clicking on Add Channel and enter the desired channel name, IP Address and Port number. Once done, click on either Connect or Connect All to connect to the given channel(s). Windows: enter the Mapped Network drive to access the files
  5. Switch to the Capture tab, enter the desired clip name and select the appropriate capture and destination presets already defined in the original setup (see pages 10-12). Click on the Record button to initiate the recording. Premiere Pro will import the recording after a short while. You can then start editing your clips in the timeline while the file is growing (trim out to extend the growing file). After the recording has been stopped one last update of the duration will be executed.
