2.1 Supported Macintosh Models (v.5.0)

Identifying your Mac Model

The steps described here may be different on your operating system.

  1. Click on the “Apple” Menu.

  2. Hold the “Option” key and select the first entry of the Apple Menu called “System Information”

  3. Locate the “Model Identifier” entry in the “Hardware “section.

Supported Macs

The Just Control interface can be operated on any Mac which supports the minimum system requirements, as long as the Just Out engine is running on the qualified hardware listed below.

Optimal Environment Temperature Recommendation

The following information is especially important for Intel-based Macs and can partially be ignored for Apple silicon-based Macs.

  • Run the servers in an environment where the temperature does not exceed 68° F or 20° C.

  • (INTEL only) Manually control the fan speed with software such as Macs Fan Control and configure it as shown below to make sure the Mac does not overheat.
