This Event Device can be used to trigger REST API calls toward 3rd party systems.
Devices
When preparing REST API calls, you have to select the “HTTP” Device/protocol type and simply leave the IP address field empty. Press the “Add…” button to proceed.
Enter the specific “Host” and “Path” values, and verify that the port field is set to “0”. Test the configuration by pressing the “Test” button and confirm with “Ok”.
Presets
Event Presets based on REST Event Devices can either have no parameters or values at all or very many, depending on the Event Device. If there are no parameters defined, then simply create an Event Preset and then select it within the Channel Inspector.
