In some situations it is useful to have a Graphics template like a station ID (logo) On Air by default and to turn it off only for certain videos or during a live event.

Before proceeding you must stop the channel by deactivating the checkbox in front of it. Stopping the channel will also stop the Just Out engine and therefore the final output.

Setting an Infinite Graphic

  1. Select the Channel which contains the graphics Layer which you would like to use for your infinite graphics..

  2. Activate the Layers & Engines tab.

  3. In the Layer Options / Status column click Choose Infinite Graphic… for the desired layer.

  4. Select the Graphic file you want to have on air all the time. This can be a QTZ, composition:builder or image (JPEG or PNG) file.

.qtz or .composition realtime Graphics template used as an infinite Graphics must contain ONE stop frame, otherwise the Graphics will go off air once the composition reaches its predefined composition end. Refer to the composition:builder User Manual if you want to find out how to add a stop frame to your composition.

Removing an Infinite Graphic

  1. Select the desire Channel under Devices & Channels.

  2. Go to the Layers & Engines tab.

  3. In the Layer Option / Status column click on the current Graphic Name and select the menu command Choose infinite Graphic…

  4. A file chooser dialog appears. Press the Cancel button.

  5. The Infinite Graphic is now cleared.

Hiding an Infinite Graphic using Color Tags

Once an Infinite Graphics has been defined, it is possible to select a colour to hide a specific Infinite Graphics during playout automatically. This means that every element with this colour tag in the rundown will have the Hide FX Layer checkbox in the Inspector activated.

  1. Select the desired Channel under Devices & Channels.

  2. Go to the Layers & Engines tab and find the Hide Infinite Tag column.

  3. On the desired Layer, select a Hide Infinite Tag colour.

  4. Switch to the Finder and add colour tags to your desired files.

In the user interface the colour tag will be reflected in the Library and the Workbench. The Hide FX Layer checkbox will automatically be enabled for all files with the corresponding color tag.

  • Activate the checkbox in front of the channel to start the channel and to take over the changes you made.

  • The channel will be removed from the multi viewer interface and you have to add it to a viewer again by drag and drop of the channel to a viewer

  • No labels
