Channel View Area and Inspector

v4.0 consists of the same two main areas as previous versions. There is the main Channel Viewer Area (1) and the Inspector (2) on the right hand side of the User Interface. But with v4.0 we introduced Tabs for the Inspector, so there are more options and settings within the Inspector and the whole Channel Connection Process (Connections Tab) is also placed there.

The Channel Viewer Area (1) is flexible, which means it could look different like the picture above at your machine. This area highly depends on which starting grid layout you selected and afterwards which "Splits & Joins" you were using to build up your "grid" to connect your Channels. As just mentioned, the Inspector (2) is working with Tabs now, where you can adjust the Channel Settings (Settings Tab), create and adjust channel groups (Groups Tab), see all available Channels and connect them to the Channel Viewer Area (Connections Tab) and work with Adobe Premiere Markers (Markers Tab).

When the Inspector is closed, you see different icons (top to bottom: Settings, Groups, Connections, Markers) on the right hand side which enables you to open all of the described Tabs directly. The last opened Tab is marked.
