Preface

You can record SDI, HDMI signals or IP Streams (NDI[®5NDI®5, SRT) on-the-fly in Crash Mode, i.e. you start and stop each Capture/Recording process manually.

Start a Recording

Make sure to have at least one valid Capture- and Destination-Preset configured and that at least one Channel is connected successfully. Select a Channel and open the Inspector and make sure that the Channel is in Crash Mode.

...

Now hover over the Channel Viewer and the Record button will show up. Press this button to start the Recording.

...

A Capture ID consists of a Capture Preset and a Destination Preset. Open the Inspector of the desired Channel. At the bottom of the Inspector add further Capture IDs by pressing the Add ("+") button. Select a Capture Preset and Destination Preset for each Capture ID and start the Recording process as described above.

...

You may start multiple Recordings of a single Video input source at the same time to the same or to multiple destinations. This feature is limited by the hardware specs of the machine running the just:in linux engine. We strongly recommend to do thorough testing before using this feature in a live environment.
