AutoMounter First Start

1. Go to the Applications folder of your Mac and open AutoMounter.

   Open

   

2. Click on the Done button to proceed to the Configure Server window.

   Open

   

3. Enter the display Name and the IP-Address or Hostname of your just:store appliance. Enabling the Unmount shares when unavailable checkbox helps avoiding Finder issues with mounted shares.

4. Press the Save button in the top left.

5. Your previously configured server should now appear in the AutoMounter server list.

Creating a new server connection with AutoMounter

1. Click on the Settings button (gear icon) and a dropdown will be visible.

2. Press then the Add Server entry to create a new server.

3. Now you will see a mask to enter the display name and hostname or IP Address. Please fill in this information and click on the Save button (will be visible after you filled in name and hostname or IP Address).

4. You can select the Automatically Wake On LAN, Mount using Bonjour and Unmount shares when unavailable checkboxes if you need those settings. For setting the Mount Rules please see the Set Mount Rules section below.

5. Optional you can also discover the hostname of the just:store by clicking on the “xx Discovered” button.

   To select a hostname from the list click the Use button and the hostname will be written to the Host field.

6. Now you will see the new server in the overview.

Creating a Sharepoint connection of a just:store appliance

1. Move the cursor over the server entry and you will see the buttons

   1. “Share +“ to add a sharepoint of your just:store and

   2. “Edit“ to change the configuration of the just:store appliance connection settings.

2. Click on the “Share +“ button to add an existent Sharepoint of your just:store appliance. You will see a window where you can select and enter some information:

   1. Type: SMB, AFP, or NFS

   2. Share: you can just enter the Sharepoint name or click on the discover dropdown to see available sharepoints.

   3. User: enter the username or if you want to use guest access please click on the “Mount Options…” button and select the “Mount as Guest checkbox“. You can also mount the sharepoint as read-only also if you have written and read permissions or hide the Mount on the Finder. For more information please see the Mount Options section.

3. After you filled in the information mentioned above you can click on the Save button on the top left corner.

4. Now you will see the overview again like below:

   When hovering the Sharepoint entry you will have three actions: Pause (automount will be stopped), Reveal (try again), Edit (to change the configuration).

    

Editing a Sharepoint connection of a just:store appliance

1. In the overview, you will see one or more just:store appliance connections with configured Sharepoint mount points.

   When hovering the Sharepoint entry you will have three actions: Pause (automount will be stopped), Reveal (try again), Edit (to change the configuration).

    

Pause

The Pause function will allow you to disable the automount feature for the Sharepoint. So you don’t have to delete the sharepoint and just need to pause them.

Find / Reveal

The sharepoint is mounted and it won’t due to any settings be visible you can find the Sharepoint with the Reveal function. Pressing the button will open a new window with the sharepoint content.

Edit and Remove

You can just edit the sharepoint configuration for the just:store AutoMounter.

You will then see the edit view for a sharepoint with all information.

• Type: protocol which is set on the Administrator User Interface of the just:store appliance.

• Share: Sharepoint name which is set on the Administrator User Interface of the just:store appliance.

• User: authentication user which is set on the Administrator User Interface of the just:store appliance.

• Mount Location: select the mount path where the Sharepoint should be mounted to. DEFAULT: Volumes.

• Open Apps on Mount: you can also open the program when the Sharepoint is mounted. DEFAULT: not opening any program.

• Open Files on Mount: you can also open files when the Sharepoint is mounted. DEFAULT: not opening any file.

• Run Scripts: you can also execute shell scripts after the Sharepoint is mounted. DEFAULT: not executing any script.

Clicking on the Back button will save the changes and will be applied immediately and you will get redirected to the overview.

Mount Options

Mount as Guest

If you enabled on the Administrator User Interface of just:store the guest access of the Sharepoint you have to select this checkbox to be able to mount the Sharepoint on your Mac.

Depending on the permissions you set on the Administrator User Interface you will have read and write or only read access. You can also change the permission afterward which will need to remount the Sharepoint on the client to get the new permissions.

Mount Read Only

The mount read-only functionality will override the permissions which are set on the just:store Administrator User Interface and force a read-only mount. So due to this, you are only able to download files from the just:store Sharepoint.

Hide Share Mount

If you enabled in the Finder settings the visibility of network volumes the just:store Sharepoints will be displayed automatically. So for the case you want to hide a Sharepoint for backup processes you can also hide the Sharepoint in the Finder.

Manual Mount Only

Enabling the Manual Mount Only will disable an automatic mount in the background. So you have to manually press the Mount button to see the content of the Sharepoint.

Use Kerberos

This feature is currently not available.

Mount Rules

The mount rule editor allows you to define when you would like the server to start mounting Sharepoints. The server will only mount shares if any/all of your rule conditions are met.

Creating a Mount Rule

1. Edit your server

   • If you've already configured your server, click the “Edit” button next to that server.

   • To add a new server, see add server above.

2. Click the “Set Mount Rules” button.

3. Click any '+' to add a rule.

   • Current WiFi Connection: matches against your currently connected WiFi SSID Name.

   • Current 24h Time: define an hour between 0 and 23. You can create multiple time rules to create a range. Example: 16-22.

   • Computer Power: matches against your laptop power connection state (connected to power or not).

   • Any Open App Name: matches against any open application name. Example: Safari.

   • Connected to VPN: detects if you're connected to VPN.

   • Current Network Routes: checks if a particular network subnet is accessible, which is called a 'route'. This is most useful when combined with the VPN rule. You can see all currently accessible routes by clicking on the '?' next to 'Current Routes' at the bottom of the mount rules panel. The route must be entered exactly as shown, for example, '192.168.0.0'.

   • Pro tip: You can specify that all rules must be met, or any rule may be met.

4. “Rules Established” will appear next to the “Set Mount Rules“ button to let you know your rules have been set.

Mount Read Only

The mount read-only functionality will override the permissions which are set on the just:store Administrator User Interface and force a read-only mount. So due to this, you are only able to download files from the just:store Sharepoint.
