12.7 User Interfaces (v2.5)

This is a simplified summary of the just:connect user interface. For detailed information about every single element of the user interface refer to chapter 13. just:connect Advanced Setup.

By default all user interfaces on all machines can access a Channel. The number of user interfaces which can access a selected Channel can be restricted here.

1. Only Allow… Button: Enable this to allow only selected user interfaces to connect to your Channel.

2. Add Interface Button: Adds a new interface to the list.

3. Name: Lists the names of the interfaces which are allowed to connect to the selected Channel.

4. IP Address: The IP address of the machine the interface client uses to connect to the machine running just:connect.

5. Repositories: Allows you to override the Repositories of the selected Channel.

6. Advanced: In certain situations (when using 3rd party software applications for example) it may be necessary to disable the heartbeat sent out by the interface clients. Please → contact us before changing this setting.
