just:in mac pro 2026 improves performance and stability for UHD recording workflows. Users can now leverage the capability to record multiple UHD Channels on a single machine using the 8/10-Bit Video mode. The feasibility of this feature depends on the specific Apple hardware model, the chosen codec/container option, and the video device in use.

Supported Codecs

  • Apple ProRes (MOV) - hardware accelerated on Apple silicon for Progressive fields only!

  • Avid DNxHR (MXF) - is subject to CPU encoding

  • H.264 (MP4 and MOV) - hardware accelerated on Apple silicon (performance depends on the number of available media engines on Apple silicon)

  • HEVC-H.265 (MOV and MP4) - hardware accelerated on Apple silicon (performance depends on the number of available media engines on Apple silicon)

Color Space

just:in mac pro 2026 will not convert any color space information, but will sense the color space information of the incoming signal and use it for the recordings accordingly.
