Known Issues (just:play pro 2026.x)

Apple Magic Mouse

The Apple Magic Mouse (all colours) is not compatible with the just:play user interface. Especially clicking on an existing playlist inside the CalendarView is not possible and therefore we highly recommend not to use another mouse or trackpad.

Using a channel with more than one Video Layer

When using a channel with more than one Video Layer, make sure that any live event is only scheduled in the first (lowest) Video Layer. Scheduling live events in another Video Layer can result in unexpected behaviour.

Hiding the Video Layer disables the whole timeline

After hiding the Video track using View - Hidden Timeline Layers, no elements can be dropped into the remaining layers, including. Events, GFX and Audio elements.

Broken Videos

It is important to make sure that all Video clips which should be played out are supported and can be played out. An unlicensed version of the Just Out application running on another Mac can be used to test new Video files. Make sure that the machines are absolutely the same, hardware, and software wise. Please ensure that all Video clips are available, in case that reference Video clips should be used. Trying to play out broken or unsupported Videos clips can harm the final output and even compromise the stability of the Just Out engine.
