[JIMLN] macOS Configuration (macOS Tahoe) v.2025.3
This chapter covers the general Operating System configuration to ensure a stable and operationally safe Just In Mac Lite NDI 2025 environment.
Preface
Once the macOS installation has finished, install all updates which are available through Apple's Software Update System. To ensure a proper and stable setup, please configure the operating system of the machine(s) running the Just In Mac Lite NDI application as described below.
Do not install any additional background applications that require intensive CPU access or Dashboard widgets, as they may interfere with the overall performance.
Apple Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro on the same machine as the Just In Engine application
When you run Apple Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro on the same machine as the Just In Mac Lite NDI application, please make sure that neither of these applications (Apple Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere Pro) request access to the video hardware, which is in use by the Just In Mac Lite NDI application. If that is the case, this can lead to unexpected behavior. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Then click on the “” symbol, and move all sliders to the left side (“Disabled”)
Spotlight
We recommend disabling Spotlight indexing on any machine running the Just In Mac Lite NDI application.
Security & Privacy / Local Network Access
The new “Local Network” security feature in macOS Tahoe (26.x) and higher enhances privacy and control by allowing users to manage which apps can access their local network. This feature addresses concerns over unmonitored network access, providing an extra layer of security by ensuring that only trusted applications have access to local network resources, such as printers, file-sharing devices, and other computers. In macOS Sequoia, users are prompted when an application attempts to access the local network for the first time, enabling them to allow or deny access (“System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network”).
When running the Just In Mac Lite NDI application for the first time on macOS Tahoe, you will be asked to allow it to discover and connect to devices or other applications on your network. Please click on the “Allow” button to ensure the application to connect to devices or other application on your networks.
Additionally, please ensure that the Just In Mac Lite NDI application has “Full Disk Access” permissions to record to all kind of Local or Network Volumes (“System Settings → Privacy & Security Tab → Full Disk Access”). This setting is then also reflected in the “System Settings → Privacy & Security Tab” → Full Disk Access” panel.
AirDrop & Handoff / AirPlay Receiver
Make sure the “AirPlay Receiver” option is disabled, as it interferes with the internal network communication between the Just In Mac Lite NDI application components.
