Version 2025.2 of the just:in mac lite capture solution for macOS is macOS Sequoia (15.3.x) certified and fully qualified to run natively on the Apple silicon architecture including the M1, M2, M3 and M4 models.
The combination of this highly efficient and powerful system architecture from Apple and our professional capture solution offers many advantages and benefits to both our customers and our future innovations. Version 2025.2 will still support macOS Sonoma (14.7.x) and macOS Ventura (13.7.x) on Apple silicon to ensure full deployment flexibility and safeguard our customer’s investment in our solutions.
Important Update: Starting with version 2025.2, the Just In Mac Lite application will be optimized exclusively for Apple silicon hardware (M1-M4) to provide you with the best performance and experience!
By fully transitioning to the Apple silicon platform, we ensure optimal performance, stability, and compatibility with the latest advancements.
If you are planning to deploy the Just In Mac Lite application on qualified INTEL-based Macs (MacPro7,1 or Macmini8,1) please consider using version 6.5 or version 2025.1!
Nevertheless, we will, of course, continue to support our customers who still have certified Intel-based Macs running qualified versions of just:in mac lite.
Classic and Harmonized QuickTime
This release introduces two new Container Types, Classic QuickTime and Harmonized QuickTime, designed to streamline growing file workflows for MOV containers within Adobe Premiere Pro 25.x and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 19.x.
Classic QuickTime: This MOV-based container type enables Adobe Premiere Pro users to manage growing files with the same efficiency as with MXF containers. Files expand seamlessly within the timeline, allowing for simple extension through drag-and-drop functionality. Classic QuickTime is available for HD-based Capture Presets.

Harmonized QuickTime: just:in mac lite 2025.2 is currently the only standalone macOS-based multichannel capture solution offering native growing file support for DaVinci Resolve within the MOV container. This integration enhances workflow efficiency, making it an ideal companion for any DaVinci Resolve 19.x editing system. Harmonized QuickTime is available for HD-based Capture Presets.
