7.15 Yellow And Red Elements In A Playlists (v2.0)

In just:play color codes are used to indicate scheduled elements which will only be played out particularly or not be played out at all.

Color of elements in the Workbench

Yellow: Such an element will be played out in parts and not in its entire length, because:

  • another element will start playing before the end has reached
  • because the end of the playlist will be reached before the element has been played out completely.

Red: Such an element will not be played out in its entire length, because:

  • the total length of all elements in the video track exceeds the length of the playlist itself. This can be avoided by activating the "Auto Duration" feature for that particular playlist.
  • the following playlist starts before the current playlist has been played out completely. This can be avoided by selecting the "Chained" start type for the following playlist.

Only movies which will not be played out at all and placeholder items are shown in red letters in the workbench. The operator responsible for the channel should take care that such situations are solved before they are going on air.
