9.4 Checklist Before Recording
- Check your ingest presets for all channels.
- Check if the Timecode is running in the both the recorder and main LiveCut windows.
- Check the "Status" area in the main LiveCut window: Orange = Ready, Red = Ready for recording.
- Check if the "Auto Counter" option is enabled.
If all these requirements are fulfilled, you can proceed and press the "Record" button in the main LiveCut window.
During the recording process the preferences are unavailable for changes. After pressing the "Stop" button, you will get a safety warning asking you if you really want to stop the recording. If you're positive about it and you're using Apple Final Cut Pro 7 you can select "Good Shot" and the sequence color.
If not or in doubt: Press "Keep Recording", to continue capturing.
If you finished recording without enabling the "Auto Counter" option, you will have to manually clear the table before you can start recording your next take. To perfom that action go to the Edit and select "Clear Table" (Cmd + Alt + Shift + T).
