[JIL] iconik v.6.1

Preface

The just:in linux iconik integration requires additional activation within the “Activation” tab (Just Control Configuration panel) of Just Control. Furthermore, a ToolsOnAir Support Engineer has to deploy the ToolsOnAir integration:hub to get the iconik integration working. Additionally, access to the admin section of the dedicated iconik account is required, as specific storage IDs are essential for the workflow configuration.

General

just:in linux introduces an innovative feature that streamlines your integration with the iconik ecosystem. Driven by the desire for efficient automation, just:in linux effortlessly manages asset uploads and Proxy generation, highly reducing the solution's complexity, while increasing its overall efficiency.

This automation eliminates manual intervention and accelerates your content's availability for seamless post-production workflows. Depending on your ISG (Iconik Storage Gateway) upload setting, the magic doesn't stop there. If configured, the high-resolution file can automatically make its way to iconik, or alternatively, it remains securely in its on-premise location. This flexibility ensures that you're always in control, tailoring the workflow to your specific needs.

Devices

Click on the “Add” button to select the “Iconik” Device from the “Device & protocol” list and press the “Add” button to create the Device. Additional configurations will be done within the Recording Events itself. Please see below:

Presets

There are two Iconik Event Preset types available:

  • New Asset

  • Finish Asset

Both types are described below.

New Asset

To create a new Preset, define the name of the Preset, select “Iconik” and press the “Add” button.

The New Asset Event type is used to add a placeholder to the iconik system, which will be later replaced with the actual asset. To set this up correctly, this Preset requires the IP Address of the just:in linx integration point (Docker installation – to be installed by ToolsOnAir support staff), the “Storage ID” (iconik admin panel), and the local “ISG Mount Point”.

Press the “Finish” button to create the Iconik Event Preset.

Finish Asset

To create a new Preset, define the name of the Preset, select “Iconik” and press the “Add” button.

The Finish Asset Event type uploads the Proxy file and checks with the ISG if the High-res file should be uploaded as well. Again, the IP Address of the just:in linux integration point is required, as well as the “Destination Storage ID” (iconik admin panel), the local “ISG Mount Point” and the “Proxy Storage ID” (iconik admin panel).

Press the “Finish” button to complete the creation of the Iconik Event Preset.
