12.2 VDCP Support
just:live supports basic functions using the VDCP protocol. Currently we tested VDCP devices from HiTech but we expect other devices using the same protocol to work properly too. We support the following functions:
- Load (all clips in the workbench will be accessible)
- Load (loads the selected video in the timeline)
- Play (plays the first video in the timeline)
- Stop (executes the Finished action immediately)
Make sure that the option to handle clip names with more than eight characters is enabled ("Vari Length ID" setting in the HiTech device) which allows you a maximum of 93 characters. Currently only the serial port of the KonaLHi is supported, so please make sure you are using this kind of video card.
