1 Embedded alpha information is properly sent to the video card (fill and key).
2 Apple Animation Codec is deprecated. If you need alpha we recommend to use Apple's ProRes 4444 codec.
Notes About Supported Formats, Containers & Codecs
- It is possible to mix SD, HD and non-broadcast pixel sizes in the same playlist.
- It is possible to mix all codecs in the same channel.
- It is possible to mix movies with different aspect ratios in the same timeline.
- The field order will be inverted automatically if needed. This can be overridden per clip with the "Invert Fields" function in the inspector (as described in the just:live/just:play User's Handbook).
- just:out provides the technology to play out MXF wrapped movies. However, to be able to preview such files on the OS level or to be able to preview/set a new in/out-point or poster frame within the just:live/just:play user interface, a MXF importer from Apple is maybe required. Make sure to buy one license for each machine running the just:live/just:play user interface.
- Due to the way MXF works, it can take several seconds to open a movie wrapped into such a container, depending on its length and the number of audio tracks coming with the movie. This implies that the readout of metadata in the library of the just:live/just:play user interface as well as adding such a movie to the rundown is not instantly like with other containers.
- Currently it is not possible to play movies in our engine created with more than one codec. Make sure that all movies are created using a single codec.
- Currently it is not possible to play movies where frames have been removed using QuickTime player without rendering a new movie after that. Nevertheless, setting a new in-/out-point using the "trim" function is possible.
