General Notes

This software requires at least macOS Catalina (10.15.7). Please consider upgrading to a newer macOS release such as macOS Monterey (12.7.6), macOS Ventura (13.7.x), macOS Sonoma (14.7.x) or macOS Sequoia (15.x).

Installation Notes

Before installing, make sure that Gatekeeper is properly configured, as shown here. If desired, you may revert the setting after the installation has succeeded.

• INTEL: macOS Catalina (10.15.7), macOS Big Sur (11.7.10), macOS Monterey (12.7.6) and macOS Ventura (13.6.x),

• Apple silicon: macOS Sonoma (14.6.x), macOS Sequoia (15.x). Please consider using version v.4.x or higher of the Just Playout installer.

• The Composition Builder v.5 application is a 64-bit application and runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel-based Macs.

• Complete redesign of the user interface.

• Improved keyframe handling including marquee selection and better visibility.

• Stop frames now have the same symbol used in the Playout applications, and there are advanced functions to add/remove - and to jump to -  a keyframe.

• The “Visible” attribute is now taken over by the Playout application, which allows turning elements on/off “by default”.

• The timeline can now be scaled.

• Dedicated timeline playback control with jump to next and single frame back/forward.

• QuickTime movie component has been removed and the new still image sequence can be used instead.
