REDESIGNED MULTI-CHANNEL INTERFACE

With v2.0 we completely redesigned the interface of just:in, the improved and renewed interface can handle a virtually unlimited number of channels. This vastly improves adaptation to more complex ingest workflows.

SPLIT/JOIN AND DRAG&DROP

Version 2.0 introduces various new features in the renewed interface. Preview areas can be split into smaller areas, where additional channels can be connected, these areas can be joined again into one bigger area for one channel. This works even with a already connected channel. It is also possible to drag and drop channels to quickly rearrange the order of the channels within the interface.

OS X 10.10 / 10.11 and macOS Sierra SUPPORT

Just:in has been explicitly optimised for OS X 10.10 and 10.11 and is therefore exclusively targeted towards these OS releases.

VARIOUS TIMECODE VIEW OPTIONS

Version 2.0 introduces different timecode view options, which can be changed after a channel is connected.

QUICK LOOK VIEW

By pressing the Spacebar, while a channel is selected, the Quick Look view will open. In this view the selected channel will be displayed in fullscreen.

LIMITLESS CAPTURE IDS PER CHANNEL

The improved engine now features more than two capture instances per channel, allowing to capture for example one stream of XDCAM HD422, a second stream of AVC-I stream and a third h.264 stream simultaneously.

CONFIRM STOP RECORDING

With the new version it is possible to enable a security feature, where the operator has to click the stop recording button twice to stop the ongoing recording.

EXTENDED METADATA HANDLING

By using the built-in XML writer engine the user can customise the XML export dataset in a very intuitive way and a corresponding XML file with descriptive metadata will go along with every generated QuickTime or MXF file. You can choose to directly write metadata into a QuickTime file as well or send it to a MAM in form of a sidecar XML file. You can also select if you want to write the metadata at the start of the recording or at the end.

ADVANCED NAMING CONVENTIONS

Version 2.0 introduces new naming conventions keys like "Start Timecode", and you can now use metadata entries also to automatically create a file name.

SHORTCUTS FOR RECORDING AND CHANNEL SETTINGS

With the new version we added various shortcuts to interact with the channel. All available shortcuts can be found here.

SCC SUPPORT

The new version features SCC sidecar files for closed caption recording.

MXF XDCAM HD422 CLOSED CAPTION SUPPORT

Version 2.0 can write closed caption data directly into the MXF container.

GV HQX CODEC SUPPORT

The new version supports the Grass Valley HQX codec.
