The buffer status in the "On Air" window allows you to check the status of the playout engine.

Buffer Status

If the buffer:

  • is completely filled so that the green area is also shown, the buffer status is good.
  • is filled half way so that it reaches the yellow range, it should recover in time, otherwise the playout will stagger.
  • is completely empty so that the bar is more or less gray, the output will drop frames or even stall completely.
