The ToolsOnAir Video Subtitler is able to read and display → Aegisub Subtitle files.

Requirements
- OS X 10.11 or macOS 10.12
- Working just:play v2.5 Playout.
- ToolsOnAir Video Subtitler.
- Videos with appropriate Aegisub ASS Subtitle File(s).
- Optional (to edit SSA files): → Aegisub Editor.
Installation
- Download the ToolsOnAir Video Subtitler.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP Archive and open the resulting folder.
- Move the file TOAVideoSubtitlerPlus.plugin to the folder /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-Ins.
- Enter your password and accept the dialog.
- The TOA Video Subtitler Plugin is now installed on your system.

Preparing the Subtitle Files
To display Subtitles with your Videos, each Video file needs a "sidecar" Subtitle file. This Subtitle file needs to be in the same directory as the Video file and it needs to have the same name as the Video file – except for the file ending. Here's an example:

Usage
- → Contact us to download the ToolsOnAir Video Subtitler.
- Extract the ZIP Archive, it contains the TOA Video Subtitler and a sample Subtitle file.
- Schedule your videos in just:play as usual.
- Add the TOA Video Subtitler v2.0 to the TOA Video Subtitler to a FX Layer in just:play.
- Adjust the Duration of the TOA Video Subtitler accordingly to your needs.
- The playout should now display the video with the subtitles on top.

FAQ
Q: I did schedule the videos and subtitler correctly, but no subtitles are showing up.
A: Verify if that your subtitle file has sidecar files have been created properly. It may be the case that there are no subtitles defined in the subtitle file at your current video position. Use a testing subtitle file at the beginning of a video to test if the subtitles are showing at all.
Q: When starting just:play a warning appears telling me that there's 3rd-party software which may harm the playout.
A: This may be due to an older version of just:play which is not compatible with the TOA Video Subtitler. Update to at least version 2.5 of just:play.
Q: The subtitles are being displayed in a wrong aspect ratio / at the wrong position / with an improper size.
A: Aegisub subtitle files contain information about the resolution which is interpreted by the TOA Video Subtitler, but usually this info is neglected and the default resolution/aspect ratio defined in the QTZ file is used (which is 1920x1080 / 16:9) is used.
