The Inspector is used:

  • to select the Capture Mode and Channel Settings such as Naming Presets, Event Presets, Metadata Sets, Capture- and Destination-Presets (“Settings” tab)

  • to create and adjust Channel Groups (“Groups” tab)

  • to connect Channels to the Channel Viewer Area (“Connections” tab)

  • to set Adobe Premiere Pro Markers (“Markers” tab)

Before using the Inspector, it is mandatory that at least one of the Channel Viewers in Just Control is connected to a Channel.

Overview

The “Settings” tab of the Inspector changes depending on the Capture Mode. The following screenshot shows the “Settings” tab of the Inspector when using the Crash Capture Mode. Most of the settings are the same for other Capture Modes.

A Channel may have multiple Capture IDs and can therefore record in multiple formats. Keep in mind that this can put a high load on the machine(s) running the Just In Engine application.

Batch and Schedule Mode

Some sections of the Inspector change depending on the selected Capture Mode. Please take a look at the screenshots below, showing the Inspector in either Batch Mode or Schedule Mode.

In Batch Mode, it is possible to control a Tape Machine connected via the RS-422 port of a video device. Then you can set multiple “In” or “Outpoint” and by pressing on the “Record” button, just:in mac 2025 records the selected parts from the inserted tape.
