When the playout is on air we also strongly recommend to avoid avoiding any unnecessary load on the storage system (like copying from one partition to anotherheavy file access from other machines or processes).

The storage system used for playout has to be able to deliver the data rate needed for continuous playback under all circumstances.

Because this can not be guarantied using Do not use an Apple Fusion Drive, we recommend to use such a drive only for the OS, but not as a storage system for play out for storing playout data.
